A new generation terminal area fast prototype and Monte Carlo simulation tool for safety assessments including analysis and display of wake turbulence related operational scenarios.

ASATng is a highly versatile and interactive simulation tool that allows the study of complex terminal area operational scenarios including wake turbulence evaluation and visualization.

ASATng’s libraries of object-oriented components allow for efficient analysis of a wide variety of operational scenarios at any level, from preliminary fast prototyping to full-scale Monte Carlo statistical simulations.

ASATng allows the user to prototype complex operational scenarios easily and efficiently. A wide range of built-in components covering operational aspects such as aircraft performance, atmospheric conditions, navigation, monitoring and surveillance equipment, and ‘human in the loop performance’ allow for efficient prototyping of operational scenarios.

Auxiliary built-in tools provide graphic and interactive data input and handling, enhancing the quality control of the process.

Once the operational scenario has been prototyped, analysis can be performed. The operator has full control over the simulation engine of ASATng, allowing a high level of flexibility and optimization according to the user’s need.

For presentation and analysis purposes, a full three-dimensional (3D) “View As You Fly”™ display is only a mouse click away. As an added benefit, ASATng uses ATSI’s WGS-84 geodetic VSpace™ 3D visualization engine.
